Day 0: Meet in Chandigarh & Travel to Shimla Day for Shimla Mall Road Visit

Arrival Time: 8:00 AM at Chandigarh Railway Station

  • Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to Shimla by road (approximately 115 km / 3–4 hours).

  • On reaching Shimla, check in to your property and take some time to relax.

  • Spend the rest of the day exploring this charming hill station, known for its colonial architecture and scenic beauty.

  • Enjoy cafés, bakeries, and shopping along the vibrant Mall Road in Shimla.

Day 01: Travel from Shimla to Chitkul – The Last Village of India
  • Begin your journey from Shimla and drive towards Chitkul, passing through Kufri and Narkanda along the scenic Indo-Tibetan Highway en route to Sangla.

  • Enter the beautiful Kinnaur Valley by crossing the iconic Kinnaur Gate.

  • En route, witness the famous rock-cut tunnel, known as the Gateway of Kinnaur, located around 170 km from Shimla on the Shimla–Kaza route (also called the Hindustan–Tibet Road).

  • Arrive at Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border, and experience a breathtaking white wonderland surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Day 02: Chitkul to Tabo (via Nako Village)

Travel Time: Approx. 210 km / 6–8 hours

  • Spend the morning experiencing the peaceful village life and snow-covered mountain views in Chitkul.

  • After breakfast, begin your journey towards Nako.

  • Drive along scenic routes that run close to the India–Tibet border, offering dramatic landscapes.

  • Stop at Khab Sangam, the spectacular confluence of the Spiti and Sutlej Rivers (the Sutlej originates from Mansarovar Lake in Tibet).

  • Continue to Nako Village and visit the serene frozen Nako Lake.

  • Later, officially enter the majestic Spiti Valley and proceed to Tabo, arriving by evening.

Day 03: Tabo → Kaza (via Dhankar Monastery & Frozen Ice Café)
